(history) Aeron lived an idyllic life in the suburbs. He was named William after his father, and was very close to his younger siblings. His family were a close knit, known for being friendly and intellectual. His mother taught music at the local high school while his father taught art at the local college. Aeron had a wild imagination and developed a fascination with mystery novels. He wanted to be Sherlock Holmes when he grew up. As a youth he spent his days after school creating his own mysteries and investigations to solve. It was natural that as he got older his studies moved him ever closer to a career in law enforcement. The use of cyborgs in law enforcement and military institutions had become the norm. While the generation before him were more focused on the benefits of the use of cyborgs, it was Aeron's generation that really began to explore the level of compassion these cyborgs deserved. Most saw cyborgs as beings that were barely human, that due to the fact their bodies were over 80% mechanical that their humanity passed with their original bodies. Aeron was raised to consider that even if the cyborgs' minds were erased and programmed, they still had to have some vestige of a soul and feelings. They may be primary machine, but he still believed that even the smallest fraction of human tissue still counted. He didn't expect to be partnered with a cyborg fresh out of the academy, especially since he was trained as a profiler. He had a desk job, and he was good at what he did. When Section XII was formed, a distant relative in the agency tapped Aeron with the position of a handler. The justification was that as a profiler, Aeron's skill at gathering and retaining information would be beneficial working alongside a Type II who have been proven difficult to partner with handlers more attuned to combat situations.
